Who We Are

Victoria  L. King,  Esq.

Attorney

Victoria L. King is a life-long Victor-Farmington resident, having moved back to the area after college and graduate school. She has always been interested in the law and how the law can be a vessel of change for individuals and communities. During her college and graduate school years Victoria studied in both Germany and London. She also worked in Geneva, Switzerland for a non-profit on the issues of the legal and health impacts of human trafficking. She brings this focus of working to help her clients solve family issues, move forward with their lives, and protect the rights of parents and children.

After graduation Victoria worked for two years for LAWNY’s Geneva, NY office representing victims of domestic violence and assisting in the Pro Se Divorce clinic run by the office. Additionally, she ran the AmeriCorps / Equal Justice Works program which coordinated opportunities for Law School students to provide pro bono services and gain experience working in public interest law. After her term was over Victoria moved on to work in a small law office in Victor before opening her own practice in 2007.

Since 2007 Victoria has been a fixture in Ontario County Family Court and neighboring counties, spending most of her days representing parents and children in a variety of cases. She has gained a reputation as a fierce litigator, protecting her client’s rights, standing up to opposing counsel and getting results for her clients. Victoria is frank with her clients. She prefers setting realistic expectations for clients and then exceeding them with her advocacy. Her years of experience give Victoria the insight into what reasonable settlements should look like and how the local court’s treat a variety of issues. These skills give her a distinct advantage as she assists couples in divorce and custody mediation. She knows what schedules work for families, what hidden issues need to be addressed before they turn into arguments, how parents can co-parent effectively post-separation and most importantly, how to draft an agreement that raise no concerns with the Court who is ultimately signing off on the divorce agreement.

When not in the office Victoria spends her time with her husband, son, and cats. She enjoys reading and gardening to relax and loves to travel when she can. After two years of staying home her son has a long list of places to visit.
